As expected, a federal judge has issued a temporary injunction on the Farmers Branch ordinance. I haven’t read the judge’s statement. I assume it is grounded in solid federal case law. But I am always suspicious when a federal judge starts tampering with local issues, especially after the voters have spoken. If Farmers Branch citizens want to shoot themselves in the foot, seems to me it’s their right to do it.
