PETE SESSIONS: “I DON’T GET NO RESPECT”

How powerful is the Texas delegation to Washington? Congress.org has come up with the answer by using this method. With the Democratic takeover of Congress, obviously the most powerful members are Democrats, with a few Republicans such as Joe Barton (ranking Republican, House & Commerce) and Lamar Smith (ranking Republican, Judiciary) near the top. But why does Pete Sessions rank at the bottom of the Texas delegation and, worse, as the 425th least powerful out of 435 members of the House? Pete, help us out here. Why are you regarded as the Rodney Dangerfield of the GOP?
