NRA RULES TEXAS LEGE AGAIN
Nothing starts the day better than irony. At some point the Lege’s cave-ins to the NRA just become Ivinsesque (can I launch that term?). But all that gun banter aside, seems there is some odd extra concealment in this bill that is of concern to freedom-of-information types:
Open-records advocates argue that the concealed-handgun license will become the only license in Texas exempt from public information laws.
“Why would we treat this particular license as a particularly protected class?” said Rep. Lon Burnam, D-Fort Worth.
