It’s easy to see why Deason would want to take ACS out of the public spotlight. It would, for example, end having to disclose pesky related-party transactions, such as the $9m of office products and services ACS purchased from a firm owned by Mr. Deason’s daughter-in-law. Or ACS’s write-off of $600,000 in unused prepaid charter flights from an airplane leasing outfit in which Deason owns a majority stake.
