Our friends at DFW International Airport send word that a special tribute to Raymond Nasher will be held this afternoon at 2:30 in Terminal D. Details in the jump.
WHAT:
World-renowned art collector and philanthropist Raymond D. Nasher will be remembered today at a brief memorial at the Nasher Sculpture Garden located at DFW International Airport’s International Terminal D.
The Nasher Sculpture Center in Dallas loaned four works to DFW for display in a sculpture garden under the arrivals level canopy at International Terminal D when the new terminal opened in 2005.
Mr. Nasher’s involvement on the Airport’s Art Advisory Committee led to the placement of the four works from his personal collection. Mr. Nasher believed the placement of sculpture outside of the Airport’s new International Terminal would educate and inspire international visitors as well as local residents.
