I really don’t mind the blatant sexism in DO’s Richie Whitt’s post on Anna Kournikova. Men will be boys. BUT, and I mean a BIG, as in my, butt to his description of Jana Novotna as a “former Wimbledon queen.” Very few people remember Novotna’s cakewalk over a douched Nathalie Tauziat in 1998 for her first and ONLY Wimbly singles title. More remember Novotna for blowing a huge lead over Steffi Graff in the 1993 finals and shattering protocol by weeping all over the Duchess of Kent during the post-match awards presentation. You’re on my grass turf here, Mr. Whitt. The Queen of the All England Club is Martina. She won it NINE times. And Richie, watch out for the “Lobbing Lolita,” she digs Russian hockey players. IJS.
